About Ms. Alonso
I graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in Spanish and English Secondary Education. I have a passion for languages and cultures because they are a big part of how people define themselves. Every language and culture is beautiful, but I particularly enjoy Spanish because my grandparents are from Spain. My grandparents are from the Basque country (Northern region of Spain) and were evacuated to England during the Spanish Civil War. Because of where my grandparents come from, my family's history has defined a huge part of who I am today. Every chance I get, I travel to Spain in order to visit my family who live in Bilbao, Spain.
